About Us

Over 55 years ago, our parents Robert and Ann Uremovich purchased the beautiful property that is the site of River's Edge Farm. Our parents raised seven wonderful children in an always-active home on the property. They also started and grew a successful family business there. After decades of hard work and raising a large family, the property became more and more difficult for them to care for as they aged and their children started lives and families of their own away from home. When our father grew ill in recent years, middle son Mike decided that he would purchase the property from our parents to relieve their burden of maintaining it.

Mike's intention, together with his brothers and sisters, was to keep the property as pristine as possible in order to enjoy its beauty and, in turn, to be able to share that beauty with others. Over the years, the property had became overgrown and a site for people to dump garbage. Hunters and trappers were also using the property as their private killing ground. So in 2004, the brothers and sisters came in like gang busters. We cleaned the place up, kept out trespassers and saw the great potential for returning this small natural refuge to its original state.

As we delved deeper into the property, we found amazing wildlife -- beavers making homes in the river and allowing us to watch, deer which we are now feeding so they can discover we mean them no harm, and wild ducks that have found a home on the river. Other types of wildlife have made our woods their safe haven, and we are determined to keep it that way.

Our father had his doubts that we could do it, but by the fall of 2004 our dad got to take his last ride through the 40 acres of woods and trails to celebrate our opening day.

Now our goal is to make River's Edge Farm a place where family traditions can grow. We want this to be a place where families come to enjoy a day together, explore nature and build their own memories.

We are a family with brothers and sisters working together, and nieces, nephews and cousins helping along the way. We feel our involvement together as a family makes River's Edge Farm an even better family expeience for others. We know our dad wouldn’t want it any other way.

Come join us this fall to learn about nature, pick a pumpkin, have some fun and start an annual family tradition of your own!
