River's Edge Farm offers a wide variety of activities for families, youth groups, school groups and church outings. There's something for everyone to enjoy! Our activities for famlies and groups are on weekends. U-Pick Pumpkins

Find the pumpkin of your dreams in our pumpkin patch! Whether you're looking for the "Great Pumpkin" or a more modest version, our ample offerings will give you plenty of choices. Last season, we grew over 3,000 pumpkins! We have all sizes for carving, holiday decoration, baking or just plain enjoying. If special pint-sized pumpkins are on the list for the little "pumpkins" in your family, our Peanut Patch is just the answer. Children under the age of six can each pick one Peanut Patch pumpkin for free!

Hayride Adventures

Take a fun and bumpy ride through colorful woods and hills. We'll take you around Winding Wigwam Trail, down Rollercoaster Hill, past Beavers Bend (where our friendly beavers live and play) and along Deer Valley Trail, where you just might spot a deer or two. But beware! You just might see Indians, ghosts, giant spiders, witches or other interesting and surprising sights on your ride through the woods!

Hiking trails

What could be nicer on a crisp, fall day than taking a hike down memory lane? Just like the carefree autumn days of your youth, wander our sun-dappled trails and explore our 40 acres of pristine woods and rolling valleys along peaceful Deep River. Whether it's a quick ten-minute hike or an afternoon of exploring, enjoy the beautiful River's Edge Farm surroundings under oak, hickory and walnut trees, some of which are well over 100 years old.

Maze & Playground

Are your kids looking for a fun challenge? Enjoy our all new Hay Maze on the River's Edge Farm playground. Use your imagination to create your own adventures as you go "spelunking" through hay caverns and climb hay "mountains".

Petting Farm

When was the last time you hugged a bunny or fed a goat? Never? Well, here's your chance. Visit the Bunny Village, where kids can cuddle and play with soft and friendly bunnies. Feed our ever-hungry goats and observe other farm animals, who will also be observing you! And if a bunny or goat steals your heart, take one home with you -- they're for sale!

Private Campfires & Weekend Evening Bonfires

Sit around your own private campfire and relax after a day full of activities. Now's the chance to roast those hotdogs for those hungry appetites, or roast marshmallows on a stick, gooey and hot!

Pig Races

Come watch the fun at our weekend pig races. (Gee! Who knew pigs could be so fast?) Snot Dog, Angasqueela, Jo-Lee and Kevin Bacon are ready to race to the finish line for your enjoyment!

Twin Oaks Treehouse

One of our newer attractions at River's Edge Farm is the Twin Oaks Tree House. Clamber up our fun tree house for a birdseye view of Deer Valley and other sites at River's Edge Farm.

New Attractions!

We have a new attraction at River's Edge Farm for Fall, 2008 -- Papa's Pond. Spend some time on the tranquil shores of Papa's Pond, fishing for large mouth bass, blue gill, sun fish and catfish. Bring your own fishing gear or rent from us. Catch and release only.

Farmstand Decorations & Hand-Crafted Items

We have a wide variety of fall decorations, including all types of pumpkins and gourds, hay bales of all sizes, corn stalkes, sunflowers, Scarecrow-in-a-Sack (a kit to build your own scrawcrow with everything you need -- a River's Edge exclusive), Indian corn, mums, bittersweet, rose hips, squirrel feeders and bird houses, local honey from our own bees that  were busy pollinating our pumpkins during the summer, and bees wax candles.

Grannie's Kitchen

After a busy day of fun activities, calm your restless appetite at our very own Grannie's Kitchen snackshop on the weekends. Grannie offers special mouth-watering treats, such as pulled pork sandwiches, Texas barbecue, Grannie's homemade coleslaw and pumpkin soup. To satisfy your sweet tooth, we have hand-dipped taffy apples, delicious homemade fudge and tasty Halloween treats. We also have all the campfire fixin's for roasted hotdogs and S'mores.
